A programme of free events presenting contemporary Visual Arts practices, held in County Cavan.

The programme aims to showcase an extensive range of contemporary Visual Arts practices to the public by inviting Arts professionals to share insight into their work through public talks and to impart expertise in their specific areas of work through additional professional development sessions.

The programme is designed not only for the Visual Arts community but also for the broader Arts community and for members of the public with an interest in or curiosity about contemporary Visual Arts practices in Ireland.

The Arts professionals contributing to this programme work in a variety of media and within a range of areas including studio practice, Arts in Education, Arts in Health, curatorship, collaborative practice and Public Arts. Each has a dynamic approach to their work that is inspiring to discover.

Open Art is designed and delivered by Yvonne Cullivan in association with Cavan County Council Arts Office and supported through the Arts Council and Cavan County Museum. With thanks also to The Johnston Central Library and Cavan Town Council.
